Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former CEO of Binance and currently one of the most influential names in the cryptocurrency world, made a humorous comment in his statement about the recent launch of a memecoin by the new US President Donald Trump.
In a message he shared in response to his followers who are now waiting for a “CZ Coin,” he said that there are currently no plans to launch a memecoin. However, he added that after the TRUMP memecoin reached a fully diluted market value of $71 billion, several more leaders of countries may be considering launching memecoins.
Referring to the CZ-themed memecoins currently on the market, the former CEO also declared that none of them are affiliated with him.
In addition to launching a memecoin on the Solana network, Trump also purchased more than $32 million worth of Ethereum through his own cryptocurrency project, World Liberty Financial. Trump’s activity in the cryptocurrency market ahead of tomorrow’s presidential inauguration suggests that he may announce some decisions regarding cryptocurrencies on the day he assumes the presidency.
