Following a conversation with Ripple, Phil Kwok, the co-founder of EasyA, teased major announcements as XRP Community Day kicks off today.
In a tweet, Kwok revealed that he had just wrapped up a call with the Ripple team and could not contain his excitement about what’s in store for the XRP community.
According to Kwok, the information set to be shared during the event will be “pure gold,” adding that “the world isn’t ready” for what’s coming.
“I’m sooo hyped for the XRP Community Day,” Kwok remarked.
In response to Kwok’s tweet, members of the XRP community have expressed excitement, eagerly anticipating what’s to come. One community member expressed that the XRP community really needs a crucial update. He hopes the announcements will be eye-opening for the industry, backed by facts and action.

Details About XRP Community Day
Today, January 28, 2025, XRP Community Day is underway. The event is a global virtual celebration of XRP’s innovation, utility, and growth. It will feature sessions across three time zones: EMEA, Americas, and APAC.
Notably, the EMEA session will begin with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse reflecting on XRP’s milestones and Ripple’s role in ecosystem growth. A live Q&A with community-sourced questions will follow this.
This session will also feature an Innovation Spotlight. Specifically, it would showcase diverse updates from projects in gaming, DeFi, and tokenization across the XRPL ecosystem.
Furthermore, Markus Infanger, SVP of RippleX, will lead a discussion on the Institutional Adoption of DeFi. In this session, Archax, Zoniqx, and OpenEden will share insights into institutional use cases and challenges.
Meanwhile, the Developer Growth Resources session, hosted by Christina Chan, Ripple’s Head of Developer Growth, will explore various resources like VC funding, grants, and hackathons fostering innovation and developer growth on XRPL.
In the Americas session, Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer, Stu Alderoty, will address the Regulatory Landscape. Specifically, he would focus on the U.S. crypto regulatory prospect under President Donald Trump. Moreover, Alderoty would share updates on the Ripple-SEC lawsuit and answer community questions.
Following that, Ripple CTO David Schwartz will join other blockchain representatives in discussing Programmability and Cross-Chain Innovation. The focus will be on XRPL’s interoperability and its promise of new liquidity and use cases.
With Kwok’s cryptic hints and the growing anticipation surrounding the event, all eyes are on Ripple today to see what innovations the company has in store for the XRP Army.
