Tezos, a well-known blockchain project, has just formed a partnership with the Tap & Pay app by Oobit with the aim of simplifying the world of crypto payments.
From now on, anyone will be able to use any Visa and Mastercard terminal to make payments using the XTZ resource. The collaboration between the parties also includes the integration of the Tezos chain on Oobit and the launch of the payment app on iOs.
Let’s see all the details below.
Tezos announces partnership with Oobit: the Tap & Pay app simplifies crypto payments
The cryptographic infrastructure of Bezos has just closed a very important partnership with the digital payments provider in crypto Oobit and its app Tap & Pay.
This is a strategic collaboration that opens the doors to payments in XTZ, the gas token of the Tezos network, greatly simplifying the user experience.
In fact, until recently, XTZ resource holders had to go through an intermediary off-ramp fiat to spend their coins, but now they can rely on the Oobit app.
The payment platform makes everything easier by allowing crypto transfers at any Visa terminal and Mastercard worldwide.
By doing so, the current gap between traditional financial systems and the ever-growing world of blockchain technology is bridged
This expansion of the Oobit payment ecosystem highlights the platform’s commitment to providing seamless and real-world applications for cryptocurrency.
Regarding the union of the two teams, Siddharth Singhal, head of business development at Trilitech, a company engaged in innovation within the Tezos ecosystem, stated that: .
.
“The collaboration with Oobit represents an important milestone as we work towards greater global adoption of the Tezos token. This collaboration not only expands our reach with Oobit’s simple web3 on and off-ramp experience, but also strengthens our commitment to promoting innovation and accessibility in the decentralized future”
Tezos renews its long-term commitment based on the programmability of its infrastructure and on open and active web3 participation.
Recently, the Fondation of the project announced the launch of the smart rollup layer-2 of Ethereum “Jstz” with Java support and extensive scalability.
In June, it introduced its own data availability in conjunction with the Paris update.
Oobit integrates support for Tezos Network and announces the launch of its app on iOS
The partnership between Tezos and the Tap & Pay app by Oobit, in addition to exploring new solutions for crypto payments introduces support for the Tezos Network for deposits and withdrawals on the platform.
The Tezos network, operational since 2018, is renowned for its self-amending protocol and formal verification processes. These characteristics make it an excellent foundation to support the flow of liquidity on Oobit through a secure and scalable infrastructure.
With Tezos, users of the payment app can enjoy fast and low-cost transactions, expanding the mainstream adoption of digital assets.
At the moment, according to the data from DefilLama, the Tezos blockchain records a “Total Value Locked” of 50 million dollars. The crypto XTZ, on the other hand, has a market capitalization of approximately 650 million dollars.

Furthermore, Oobit has also expanded its payment service offerings by launching its app on iOS operating systems. This progress ensures a more accessible and intuitive interface for crypto transactions to Apple users.
By doing so, the scope of crypto payments expands both on Android (feature announced in 2023) and on iOS
On the occasion of the excellent news, the Tap & Pay app has decided to welcome new users with a welcome bonus worth 10 dollars for the first experience on the platform.
Amram Adar, CEO di Oobit, reported the following words in the announcement of the partnership with Tezos:
“Our collaboration with the Tezos Foundation represents a significant leap forward in our mission to make cryptocurrency a mainstream payment. We are not only expanding our payment options, but also ensuring that our users have access to one of the most secure and innovative blockchains available today. “
The recent partnerships with Tron and Toncoin
Before Tezos, Oobit and its crypto payment app have also made agreements with other cryptographic teams with the aim of enhancing their digital asset ecosystem.
On August 12, just 9 days ago, the mobile payment solutions provider had announced the introduction of the blockchain Tron and the currency TRX on its platform.
The initiative has made it possible to use the cryptographic resource in over 100 million Visa and Mastercard retailers worldwide.
Mixing the ease and the scope of use of Apple Pay with the blockchain advantages of the Tron chain, Oobit has introduced a safe and functional method to spend one’s capital in crypto.
All this without relying entirely on a centralized custodial solution and with a seamless payment practice

Less recently in May of this year, the same Tap & Pay app instead integrated the crypto TON and the cryptographic ecosystem Toncoin.
The announcement had strengthened the previous collaboration with Tether, with its own stablecoin USDT that had just landed within the blockchain of Telegram.
Also in this case the partnership has introduced a new simple and effective method for the off-ramp of digital coins to the users of the Ton platform
It is clear that Oobit is aiming to expand its user base as much as possible by gradually adding new digital assets to its payment app.
The goal is to establish itself as one of the best tap & pay cryptographic solutions in the world, in the midst of the expansion of web3 technology.
