Abiotic Factor released a major update dubbed “Crush Depth” on August 12th, the latest since the game launched into early access three months ago. The update features new improvements to the game, including new facilities to explore as well as tools, workbenches, and vehicles to capitalize on.
Abiotic Factor, a narrative-oriented survival game, unveiled a major update to supplement the game’s early access, released in May. The upgrade, dubbed “Crush Depth Update,” incorporates additional areas for players to explore individually or in groups of up to six players.
The upgrade introduced a dangerous security sector with dark secrets awaiting explorers. The upgrade also featured the introduction of a hydroelectric plant where players will conduct scuba diving explorations.
The Abiotic Factor Crush Depth update goes live
The Crush Depth update trailers also reveal players will have more freedom to interact with in-game collectibles. At the hydroelectric plant, players can carry out fishing activities using fishing rods and baits.
Players will also have the option of cooking their catch for various delicacies, like sushi. The food will exclusively be crafted on the right-hand side on specifically powered-up chef’s counters that players must have in their homes.
The update also introduces an upgraded crafting bench, allowing players to conduct different activities and interact with various tools and equipment. The Crush Depth update also introduces a feature that allows players to design custom attire for their characters, especially when dressing to explore the cold parts of the game.
Abiotic Factor’s temperature system is now up-to-date
The developers also recreated the temperature system that allows participants to read temperature changes on their characters’ gauges. The readings will reflect the characters’ tolerance to extreme temperature conditions in different areas of the game.
The upgrade also features new in-game deployable, such as the auto salvager, moisture teleporter, carbon barricade, portal toilets, and carbon bridges. The developers also expanded the lock and laser systems with additional laser-powered deployables.
The updated Abiotic Factor features additional threats and fighting tools for adventure and combat. Players will have new goggles for swimming in the Hydro Plant, night vision goggles for exploring dark areas, a scoped Magbow, several military heavy-duty weapons, a jetpack, and a drivable SUV, to mention but a few.
In June, the developers introduced a minor update involving fog from Flathill. The update particularly focused on introducing hideous weather updates such as sickening spores, sinister fog, and radiation leaks. However, the fog was a little too much, causing hindrances to players. However, the Crush Depth update has reduced the fog quantity to optimum levels.
