Aptos Integrates CCIP And Chainlink Data Feeds To Accelerate dApps Development

News RoomBy News RoomMay 31, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Aptos’ Layer 1 blockchain integrates the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and data feeds. This integration is part of Aptos’ participation in Chainlink’s SCALE program. The announcement was made during a panel discussion at the Consensus 2024 conference in Austin, Texas. The purpose of this extension is to help Aptos developers create decentralized applications (dApps) on the network.

According to the press release, the collaboration will make Aptos the first Move-based blockchain to integrate Chainlink services. As the number of independent blockchains increases, communication between different networks becomes a challenge for the digital asset economy. Chainlink is a key project that works to connect these systems and stream data between them and the outside world. For example, Chainlink’s CCIP software played an important role in its partnership with SWIFT, the global closed banking messaging system.

Created by former employees of Facebook’s parent company Meta, Aptos is a blockchain that emphasizes low transaction costs and high throughput. It was developed using the Move programming language, which became the basis of the discontinued Meta Diem crypto project. Bashar LAZAAR, Grants and Ecosystem Director at the Aptos Foundation, an organization supporting the development of the Aptos ecosystem, said that joining the Chainlink SCALE program will provide Aptos developers with expanded access to Chainlink services. This will expand the set of resources available on Aptos that will help them build secure, scalable, and fully functional dApps.
