Movemaker, the official Chinese-speaking community supported by Aptos, and Alcove, the first Move developer organization based in Asia, have announced the launch of the Aptos Move Secure & General Purpose Base Library. This open-source project aims to improve the security and standardization of smart contract development on the Aptos blockchain. It responds to the need for better on-chain security and more unified development practices in the Web3 space.

The project has received an initial seed funding of USD 200,000 from Movemaker. The goal is to build a set of audited and reusable smart contract modules. These modules will cover key functions such as access control, upgrade mechanisms, DeFi building blocks, and general utility functions. Development will take place on GitHub and the initiative is open to all Aptos builders.

The initiative provides the following tools and resources for developers:

Core Module Library: Reusable components including access control, module upgrades, DeFi primitives, and security utilities.

Multi-language SDKs: Support for TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, etc., to simplify on-chain operations.

Standardized APIs: Interfaces to simplify data access and blockchain interactions.

Developer Tooling Support: VS Code plugins, CLI extensions and debugging tools to improve the development experience.

Templates and Example Projects: Boilerplate code and examples to help developers quickly build and launch their own dApps.

The project is open to contributions from all Aptos developers, project teams, and security professionals. Its goal is to provide a reliable and reusable foundation for developing secure smart contracts in the Move ecosystem.
