News RoomBy News RoomMarch 21, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Binance, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has confirmed its support for the upcoming network upgrades and Hard Forks of Polygon (MATIC) and Cosmos (ATOM).

Binance Announces Support for Polygon (MATIC) and Cosmos (ATOM) Network Upgrades and Hard Forks

The decision aims to ensure the best possible user experience during these important developments in blockchain ecosystems.

The Polygon (MATIC) network upgrade and Hard Fork is scheduled to occur at block height 54,876,000, which is estimated to occur on March 20, 2024 at 09:00.

To facilitate this process, Binance will temporarily suspend token deposits and withdrawals from the Polygon (MATIC) network starting approximately March 20, 2024 at 08:00.

Similarly, the Cosmos (ATOM) network upgrade will occur at block height 19,639,600 and is expected to occur on March 20, 2024 at 13:27.

Binance will suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Cosmos (ATOM) network starting approximately March 20, 2024 at 12:30 p.m.

More importantly, token trading on the networks mentioned above will not be affected by these changes. Binance assures users that it will manage all relevant technical requirements, ensuring a seamless transition for all participants.

Once the upgraded networks are deemed stable, Binance will reopen deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the affected networks. However, no further announcement will be made regarding this matter.
