COTI has announced a strategic partnership with Xctuality, a phygital (physical + digital) ecosystem leader, to integrate privacy solutions across its diverse product range, including the innovative Persona NFTs. This collaboration aims to enhance privacy features and showcase new applications of COTI’s privacy technology.
Xctuality has selected COTI as its primary privacy provider, aiming to deliver programmable security and confidentiality across various use cases, notably for its Persona NFT users. Persona NFTs allow holders to store their digital identities and build user preferences to form intent profiles for more tailored digital experiences.
Real-World Applications
According to the firm’s report, Xctuality’s Persona NFTs have found utility with the fan engagement app Kooky.io within the newly created Kiiwe Fan Engagement Network. This ecosystem, designed to connect K-pop groups with their fans, will use Persona NFTs to enhance user experiences. With over 2 million users, these NFTs will help artists better understand their audience, deliver bespoke experiences, and manage event ticketing.
Deployed on COTI V2, Persona NFTs ensure sensitive information is encrypted and securely stored on the blockchain, avoiding centralized data silos that can be compromised. Users and dApp managers can selectively grant different access or decryption rights, enhancing security and privacy.
The partnership between COTI and Xctuality extends beyond entertainment, incorporating COTI’s privacy solutions into Xctuality’s full suite of innovative products. These include MetaFarms, which integrates physical farming with Web3 technology, and Verde Whisper, an ESG initiative tokenizing the Amazon Rainforest.
Warren Woon, the co-founder of Xctuality, emphasized the versatility of COTI’s privacy Layer 2 solution: “We are excited to have found a privacy L2 that can work across our many use cases. For us, COTI solves the problem of privacy without the high overheads, meaning we can use it across our ecosystem, including support for Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) and other phygital experiences as well as leveraging AI to create smarter, sustainable urban environments.”
