Ethereum Layer 2 network Scroll has announced a loyalty program aimed at rewarding community members.
Scroll Sessions, according to the L2 solution’s team, is a program that will see ecosystem participants earn Scroll Marks for engaging across the network. The initiative offers rewards to users who bridge assets to Scroll.
In particular, one will be eligible for Session Zero by bridging their ETH and wstETH, with more assets added in due course.
How else will users receive Scroll Marks?
Users will also accumulate Marks by staking ETH to get STONE and bridging to Scroll using omni-chain interoperability protocol LayerZero.
Scroll is collaborating with Binance Labs-backed omni-chain liquidity infrastructure Stakestone to enable users earn Marks with STONE.
STONE is a yield-bearing ETH asset (received for staking ETH) and can be leveraged across L2s in DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi among other sectors.
According to team Scroll, Session Zero will require no further transactions or activities. Scroll will also announce other ways to earn Marks.
As well as the above process, community members who have used the L2 network since its mainnet launch in October last year will receive a retroactive airdrop of Scroll Marks.
“Today, your journey into the on-chain future is inscribed on Scroll,” the platform announced in a blog post.
Scroll’s EVM-compatible zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology extends Ethereum’s capabilities. Developers tapping into the zk-proofs technology can build and deploy apps at scale, this without any privacy concerns.
The project has seen increased adoption in recent months, with data showing a spike in total value locked (TVL).
According to data from DefiLlama, the TVL on Scroll is $58.6 million as of today, April 18, 2024. Scroll’s bridged TVL is currently at $182 million.
