Game NFTs rise as Guild of Guardians Avatars, DMarket and Fantasy Top lead sales

News RoomBy News RoomMay 24, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

DMarket, a collection of in-game items on the Mythos network, led CryptoSlam’s non-fungible token (NFT) sales chart with US$857,829 on Thursday, up from the previous day’s US$710,928.

Following closely behind, Guild of Guardians Avatars surged to the second spot on the day’s NFT leader’s board with US$825,172 in sales. The collection is tied to Immutable’s online game.

Fantasy Top, a Blast collection that turns Crypto Twitter into an NFT game, takes the third spot with daily sales of US$611,135. Fantasy Top stays in the top three despite falling from US$1.04 million in the previous day to lead the market.

Thursday’s top three collections show the rising appetite for Web3 games.

According to DappRadar, Web3 gaming attracted almost US$1 billion in investments last month.

Next, Ethereum’s Bored Ape Yacht Club and The Captainz rounded out the top five collections with US$602,545 and US$531,806 in sales, respectively.

The Ethereum network led all blockchains in sales with US$6.2 million on Thursday.

The industry received major news related to the world’s largest NFT chain as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs), paving the way for these financial instruments to trade on traditional markets in the U.S.

Bitcoin, with just under US$5 million was the day’s second-ranking blockchain, followed by Solana with US$2.34 million.

Solana blockchain also made headlines with a significant number of transactions, totaling 63,682 for the day, although its sales volume was lower at US$2.34 million. This performance underscores the diversity and competitiveness of the NFT market across different blockchains.
