Barcelona’s art culture triggered Street Cyber’s transition from private consultancy to street art. “When I moved to Barcelona in 2021, the city’s vibrant, creative, and rebellious spirit deeply inspired me. I felt a strong urge to reach out to the public in a more direct and impactful way. Street art seemed like the perfect medium to convey complex ideas about finance and technology in a visually engaging and accessible manner,” he explained.
“I believe that art can serve as a powerful tool for education and social change,” he said, “I’ve witnessed firsthand how my designs have a powerful impact on people outside the bitcoin community. They open a door for the average person to glimpse into the digital age and become more engaged with these emerging technologies.”
Beyond the creative aspect, Street Cyber views his work as part of a larger movement to transform financial literacy. “Through my art, I aim to share the knowledge about finance, and the economy that I’ve accumulated over more than a decade,” he explained. “Barcelona’s creativity and bitcoin’s ethos blend perfectly here,” he added.
While Street Cyber paints bitcoin’s story across Barcelona’s walls, in France, tattoo artist Fzero brings permanence to the ideals of freedom and decentralization with his designs.
A French Tattoo Artist’s Take On Bitcoin
Peter, known as Fzero, sees parallels between tattoos and bitcoin. “Tattoos, much like bitcoin transactions, are essentially unalterable unless you go through a painful ‘hard fork’ , a.k.a. laser removal,” he shared. Specializing in minimalist blackwork, Fzero’s designs include the ₿ symbol and lightning bolts, popular among clients seeking to symbolize their belief in individual sovereignty.
“Tattoos are also wearable conversations, and Bitcoiners love explaining the meaning behind theirs,” he said. “Sometimes more than talking about their actual portfolio.” One standout piece, a grey alien design inked during the Riga Bitcoin conference, blended bitcoin culture with conspiracy theories, showing Fzero’s knack for meaningful storytelling through art. He sees his work as part of France’s rich artistic heritage, saying, ‘Tattooing bitcoin-related designs feels like helping to shape a new wave of symbolism.’
Fzero’s clients often include entrepreneurs and technologists who see bitcoin as a transformative force. “Most of my clients are already Bitcoiners and like to spend the session talking about their proof of work. By the end, I always learnt a lot, and I hope my clients did too,” he said. “It’s a shared experience after all.”
As Fzero leaves an indelible mark on his clients’ skin, London-based musician Nat Cole uses his melodies to explore a revolutionary spirit.
The Soundtrack Of Bitcoin’s Revolution
In London, musician Nat Cole uses music to explore bitcoin. “Art and music have always been used as a tool for open voicing and revolution,” he explained. Inspired by the anti-capitalist and free-market ideals of bitcoin, Nat creates music that educates and motivates.
Nat discusses the unique opportunities this technology provides for artists. “Just on bitcoin itself, artists are able to create and store art and music, and through bitcoin’s (now many) Layer 2’s can do much more, including streaming, subscription creation, auctions, and digital collectibles,” he explained. He aims to inspire future generations to embrace bitcoin, seeing it as “a new music economy” where artists retain control over their creations. “Art is life; it doesn’t just imitate it. And music is the language of the universe. What better way to make yourself heard?” he said.
As the founder of 2140 Music, he has created a platform dedicated to producing and promoting bitcoin-inspired music. “2140 Music is about capturing the revolutionary spirit of bitcoin through sound,” he explained. The platform allows musicians to collaborate and amplify bitcoin’s cultural impact. Nat sees this technology as a way to break down global barriers for artists, “The main thing is that the artists have full sovereignty over their work, publishing, distribution, and even their payment channels. In traditional systems, gatekeepers dictate terms. With bitcoin, the power is shifting back to creators.”
While Nat Cole amplifies his message through music, Psyfer’s pop-up gallery brings the movement to life through collaborative art and education.
Cyphermunk House
Tucked up a street in Bloomsbury, London, there is a pop-up gallery that blends art, education, and community. Inspired by the Bank of England, Hollywood, and the Catholic Church, it’s an exhibition space and a vibrant cultural hub.
The space contributes to London’s community by providing a place where individuals can share knowledge, participate in a peer-driven economy, and even sing hymns of Rick Astley.
Art and creativity are central to its mission of providing education. “Facts and figures only go so far. Beauty, art, and narrative are the real drivers of memetic dissemination,” explains Psyfer. By focusing on these elements, the gallery bridges the gap between technical complexity and cultural resonance, making bitcoin accessible to all.
Such spaces play an important role in shaping bitcoin’s perception and adoption. By offering welcoming and inclusive experiences, they demystify money and highlight bitcoin as a stress-free, fair, and empowering alternative to traditional financial systems. Psyfer continued, “Network technologies benefit from network effects, so spaces like this are inherently inclusive and welcoming.”
