Macroeconomist and analyst Henrik Zeberg, who often comments on major economic developments and sometimes shares his take on Bitcoin price movements, has published an important scam alert.
Scam warning from Henrik Zeberg
Zeberg has spotted an impersonator who is faking his account on the social media giant X. Apparently, this is not the first one. “Another scammer!” he tweeted, sharing a screenshot of a fraudster who impersonated him by setting up a fake X account that differs from the real one, just with a single added character to the name.
A commentator pointed out a curious detail — the scammer accused the original analyst of being a scammer as well: “He said the same about your page.” The difference between the two accounts, though, is that the one that reported a scammer today has more than 177,000 followers, while the reported X profile only “boasts” less than 1,000.

CZ publishes major scam warning
The cofounder and former CEO of world’s largest crypto exchange Binance, Chanpeng Zhao (widely known as CZ), took to his X account to comment on the two major recent hacking attacks.
The first one took place over the weekend, when the victim was CoinMarketCap. CZ commented on this particularly because CMC was acquired by Binance, while CZ ran it as chief executive officer.
The hack that took place after that targeted crypto news outlet CoinTelegraph, whose advertising system contained a malicious code. Both breaches have been spotted and solved. CZ revealed that as a result of the CMC hack, the victims lost nearly $19,000. He assured that CoinMarketCap will compensate those losses.
CZ stated that scammers are now targeting information websites and warned the community: “2 days ago CMC, now CT. Hackers are targeting information web sites now. Be careful when authorizing wallet connect.”
