    New Statement from AK Party Regarding Foreign Bitcoin Exchanges! “No Prohibition”

    A statement came from the AK Party following the information pollution regarding the fate of foreign exchanges following the AK Party’s cryptocurrency law proposal.

    AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Information and Communication Technologies Ömer İleri published a statement saying, “With the draft, it is not possible to ban Turkish citizens from making transactions on foreign platforms.”

    “In line with the posts on social media channels regarding the regulation that we submitted to the parliament today and known to the public as the crypto bill, I feel the need to provide the following information, especially with reference to foreign platforms; The draft does not prohibit Turkish citizens from making transactions on foreign platforms. Residents of Turkey have their own rights.” “There is no obstacle for foreign platforms to open accounts on foreign platforms and carry out activities such as opening Turkish websites and advertising to residents in Turkey. “
