Pepe (PEPE), the popular frog-themed meme coin, has continued its bullish streak, rising by more than 10%. Over the past few days, Pepe’s price has surged, reaching new all-time highs (ATHs) several times.

In the past 24 hours, Pepe’s price jumped by more than 10%, to $0.00001577, marking a new ATH and maintaining a strong performance streak for the last three months.

Despite the impressive uptick, profit-taking by sellers pushed Pepe’s price back to $0.00001501, which was still 6.64% higher than its level from 24 hours ago.

Data from CoinGecko shows that over the past week, Pepe has climbed 55.8%, and in the last month, it has soared 98.8%, reclaiming its spot as the third-largest meme coin by market capitalization from Dogwifhat (WIF).

Interestingly, Pepe’s price jump was accompanied by a reversal in its 24-hour trading volume, which at $1.469 billion was a 36.90% decrease from one day ago.

Despite the dip, data from Binance revealed that Pepe was still one of the most traded crypto assets in the past 24 hours, only bettered by BNB Coin (BNB), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH).

Major meme players

Pepe remains the top-traded meme coin, far outstripping the likes of Shiba Inu (SHIB), Floki (FLOKI), and Dogecoin (DOGE).

But among the other major meme players, only SHIB, WIF, and Bonk (BONK) registered any green in the last 24 hours.

  • SHIB was up a modest 1.08%
  • Bonk managed an even lower 0.30%.
  • WIF performed much better, gaining 3.30% to trade at $2.95 at the time of writing.

Over seven days, the gains appear much healthier.

  • DOGE was up 8.71% in that period
  • WIF and BONK gained 16.39% and 46.78% respectively.
  • Floki was up 12.67% over seven days (but in the last 24 hours, it lost 0.36% of its overall value).

Overall, the best performers in the meme coin market in the last 24 hours were lower-capped coins such as Samoyed (SAMO), Cheems (CHEEMS) and catwifhat (CWIF).

Per data from CoinMarketCap, Samoyed closed the day with a 44.71% uptick on its price, with CHEEMS gaining 33.85% and CWIF increasing by 30.09% to trade at $0.000001321.
