Precipitate.AI, an artificial intelligence blockchain infrastructure, has officially added BONE as a payment method following a community vote. Voting, which took place from May 20 to May 23, resulted in BONE winning with 100% consensus. Originally introduced as a reward token for SHIB holders, BONE’s role in the Shiba Inu ecosystem has expanded significantly. It now also allows you to burn SHIB tokens on Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer 2 scaling solution. This evolution has increased the usefulness and distribution of BONE in the ecosystem.
A vote was held to choose between two tokens, BONE and LEASH, as the new payment currency for the platform. The voting system used was single choice, and the snapshot block was 19,886,694. The quorum required to confirm the vote was 5 million RAIN, and the total number of votes cast was 8.4 million RAIN, well above the quorum threshold.
