- Swan Chain’s EVM-compatible Layer 2 network combines Filecoin’s decentralized storage solution with artificial intelligence and zero-knowledge marketplaces, revolutionizing AI and Web3.
- Since launching its testnet, the network has processed over 125 million transactions for 22 million wallet addresses, with its community across multiple interactive channels skyrocketing.
A blockchain network lives and dies by the strength of the projects building on its infrastructure, and by this metric, Filecoin is thriving. Several projects are attracting millions while leveraging its decentralized storage solutions, with Swan Chain being one of the standouts.
Swan Chain is a Layer 2 network compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) that taps Filecoin’s decentralized storage solution and combines it with AI solutions and zero-knowledge technology. In addition to storage, it allows users to integrate decentralized computing, bandwidth and payments in one suite.

Swan Chain has been in development since early 2021. However, at the time, it was known as FilSwan. Over the years, it has evolved and broadened its focus beyond decentralized storage solutions. In September last year, FilSwan rebranded to Swan Chain as it expanded into computing and AI.
Swan Chain Leverages Filecoin to Transform AI
Swan’s products have several facets, with its integration of the Filecoin decentralized storage solutions one of the most critical. It leverages its clients to transfer data to the Filecoin storage providers, with its multi-chain storage system utilizing Filecoin as an archival layer. This ensures that all critical data is backed up securely across multiple Filecoin nodes.
Swan also leverages Lagrange, a data management system governed by the Lagrange DAO, to store all kinds of data using Filecoin’s multi-chain storage.
Another critical facet of Swan’s implementation is its Zero-Knowledge Universal Basic Income (zk-UBI) Program. Through the program, it leverages its computing resources to support Filecoin’s zero-knowledge proof computations. This allows storage providers in the Filecoin ecosystem to outsource computation tasks that require massive computation resources to Swan’s computing providers, as outlined in the video below.
Swan is currently in its Saturn testnet, which it launched in late January. Aside from unveiling zk-UBI, the testnet supported the launch of the Swan Orchestrator, a decentralized computing solution that now boasts over 70 computing solutions providers who have collectively deployed over 50,000 AI model containers.
Through the testnet, Swan has also launched developer grants to boost ecosystem growth and tools for more accessible building, including the Swan Orchestrator SDK and the Lagrange SDK.
Swan’s products have been immensely popular as the rise of AI leaves most companies short of computing resources. Since its launch, it has processed over 125 million transactions. Its 22 million users have deployed over 692,000 decentralized application contracts in the last 24 hours alone.
The platform’s innovative solutions have also attracted some of the world’s largest tech giants, including Google and Microsoft, and now extend to over half a dozen other blockchain networks, including Polygon and OORT.
