Tashi Joins Hedera to Reinvent How Multiplayer Games Work

News RoomBy News RoomJune 30, 2025No Comments4 Mins Read
    • Tashi integrates with Hedera to support scalable, decentralized infrastructure for real-time multiplayer gaming.
    • Hedera’s fast, low-cost consensus backs Tashi’s mesh system, turning each player into a consensus node.

When news of Tashi Protocol’s integration with Hedera hit the timeline, the game developer community was immediately abuzz. It’s no wonder, Hedera has long been praised for its hashgraph speed, while Tashi brings “PlayerMesh Consensus” that can break through latency of ±30 ms.

Imagine playing a shooting game, every virtual bullet that flies is now confirmed in the blink of an eye, without waiting for a central server on the other side of the world. On the other hand, Hedera ensures that every shot is neatly recorded in its public ledger with a transaction fee equivalent to only one piece of candy coin. Does this mean that the era of traditional servers is about to retire? Maybe, and gamers don’t seem to mind.

We’re excited to announce that @TashiProtocol, the multi-purpose DePIN built by @Hedera OGs, has integrated with Hedera to help establish the network as a highly scalable ecosystem for multiplayer gaming 🎮 pic.twitter.com/C1Az0qGY0U

Turning Every Player into a Rule Keeper, Not Just a User

Tashi doesn’t just stick a “Web3” sticker on an old game. Furthermore, every game client turns into a consensus node that helps maintain the fairness of the game. While developers usually have a headache fending off cheaters, now players work together to maintain the rules of the game.

Not only that, Tashi’s throughput that reaches hundreds of thousands of transactions per second when paired with the Hedera ledger looks like a new highway for MOBA, MMO, and battle-royale game genres. However, no matter how sophisticated the technology is, it still needs a compelling story. Imagine inviting a fellow countryman to play a racing game and finding the latency feels like playing in a cafe next door—it feels fun, right?

On the other hand, Hedera has gained a reputation as a new “backbone” for game developers. Its final consensus in seconds plus a cost of $0.001 has made indie studios dare to try. Moreover, the energy used by this network is fairly efficient; if the electricity in your boarding house goes out, at least you can’t blame the blockchain.

Hedera Ecosystem: From AUDD to AI Studio

Wider than the gaming realm, Hedera has recently continued to enrich its kitchen. A few days ago, CNF reported that the Australian dollar-based AUDD stablecoin was officially launched natively on the network.

Transactions are instant and the cost is less than the price of chewing gum. For remittance users who are tired of waiting for the traditional two-business-day system, AUDD on Hedera feels like sending a text message: click, it arrives.

In May, we highlighted the launch of AI Studio—a new toolkit that makes it easy to build AI applications directly on top of Hedera. Developers simply type natural language commands, and AI Studio connects them to decentralized protocols.

Meanwhile, CCIP support and fractionalized assets allow AI projects to play outside the boundaries of the traditional AI ecosystem. If a robot in a sci-fi movie likes to act up, at least on Hedera it will be monitored by a ledger.

So what’s up with the HBAR token? As of this writing, HBAR is trading at about $0.1531, up slightly by 0.94% in the last 24 hours and 1.58% in the last 7 days.

That may not have investors jumping out of their seats, but the Tashi-Hedera duo has given us something to talk about: there’s an infrastructure ready to accommodate millions of actions in near real-time. Who knows, the long-term effects could trickle down to the price.
