XRP Expands Its Boundaries
Despite its legal clash with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), XRP has witnessed impressive growth in the last few years. According to Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Swap volumes on XRP Ledger’s decentralized exchange (DEX) surpassed the $400 million bar in January. This reflects the growth in its on-chain activity.
With the launch of RLUSD, its stablecoin, Ripple is expanding its boundaries. XRP Ledger provides a great approach to cross-border transactions, which eliminates inefficiencies and loopholes present in traditional banking systems.
Recently, Ripple has announced its partnership with Unicâmbio, Portugal’s leading currency exchange provider, to bring crypto payments to the country. The crypto exchange will use Ripple payments to proceed with cross-border payments between Portugal and Brazil.
