NEXT adds OneKey hardware support to NeoLine extension wallet in v5.6.0 update

News RoomBy News RoomJune 16, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

NEXT has released version 5.6.0 of the NeoLine extension wallet, introducing support for the OneKey hardware wallet. The update allows users to interact with both the Neo N3 and Neo X networks through OneKey’s secure, open-source hardware.

The OneKey wallet lineup emphasizes transparency and verifiability, distinguishing itself with open-source firmware and software. The OneKey team criticizes closed-source alternatives as “black boxes,” encouraging users to “trust code and math” over opaque implementations. The hardware wallet integration allows transaction signing on Neo through NeoLine, which added Firefox compatibility alongside Chrome in version 5.5.0.

Beyond Neo integration, OneKey devices also support FIDO and FIDO2 authentication protocols. This makes them useful not only for digital asset management but also as secure login keys for platforms such as Google, GitHub, Dropbox, Binance, and Coinbase.

The OneKey hardware range includes several models to suit varying user needs. The entry-level OneKey Classic 1S Pure is a lightweight, battery-free device focused on minimalism and portability. At the high end, the OneKey Pro offers premium features such as a 3.5-inch IPS color display, multi-touch input, air-gapped transaction signing via camera, and biometric unlocking through a fingerprint sensor.
