Trust Wallet Adds XRP Ledger and XRPL Token Support

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 12, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Prominent crypto wallet provider Trust Wallet has introduced support for the XRP Ledger network, which will allow users to transact with XRP and XRPL tokens through their wallets. In their announcement, the Trust Wallet team wrote: “This token support integration is a key milestone in bringing even more exciting features to the Trust Wallet ecosystem. By enabling XRPL token functionality, we’re laying the groundwork for deeper interoperability and expanded use cases within the XRPL network.”

Despite legal disputes with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), XRP has seen impressive growth over the past few years. According to Ripple Labs CEO Brad GARLINGHOUSE, swap volumes on the XRP Ledger decentralized exchange (DEX) surpassed $400 million in January. This reflects the growth of its network activity.

With the launch of RLUSD, its stablecoin, Ripple is expanding its borders. The XRP Ledger provides a great approach to cross-border transactions that eliminates the inefficiencies and loopholes present in traditional banking systems. Ripple recently announced a partnership with Unicâmbio, a leading foreign exchange service provider in Portugal, to bring cryptocurrency payments to the country. The cryptocurrency exchange will use Ripple payments to facilitate cross-border payments between Portugal and Brazil.
